Chairman & CEO

An impassioned architect, urbanist, and entrepreneur, Michael has founded and led high-growth companies in the US and Asia for more than two decades. He studied architecture at Yale and Cambridge, earned a Fulbright Scholarship, and worked as an architect in India and China for several years leading the Asia practices of two major US-based international architecture firms. In 2004, he founded a major BIM services company in India backed by Sequoia Capital which grew to over 500 employees in just 4 years. In 2010, Michael assumed the helm at Cityzenith as CEO and embarked on his personal mission to transform life in cities around the globe.

Michael has been featured on CNN, CNBC, and in several major business, government, and AEC publications worldwide. He has also received several awards for his work, including Building Design and Construction’s “40 Under 40” award. In 2014, Michael was honored as a World Cities Summit Young Leader in Singapore for his life-long contribution to improving sustainability and the quality of life in cities.

A husband and father of three, Michael speaks four languages and plays the guitar.

James Fee
Chief Technology Officer

James Fee is the company’s Chief Technology Officer and has over 20 years of experience in CAD/BIM, GIS and database sectors; along with over 15 years working for AECOM and other AEC firms developing cloud-based services for clients around the world.

At Cityzenith, James is responsible for the Spatial Technology Strategy. He is leading the development of the groundbreaking 5D Smart World product as well as researching and evaluating how new technologies and products can be applied to business problems faced by Cityzenith customers

James has given keynotes at technology conferences around the world on emerging spatial technology. He has 10+ years of experience with cloud-based application development and implementation of spatial applications in a distributed environment. More importantly, James is widely seen as an industry leader in the rapidly growing field of geospatial and location technologies.

Lead Backend Developer

Jon has been a systems engineer and backend developer for the past 20 years , specializing in data collection and api design. Jon served in the Air Force as a computer analyst and later as a lead developer and architect in a large financial institution.

After the Air Force, he moved back to his hometown, and occasionally helps his dad with the farm he grew up on. In his free time, Jon is a husband and father to 6 and loves to include his family in diy gadgets, construction projects and sport activities.

Michael Weinberger
Lead Data Scientist

Michael is the Lead Data Scientist for CityZenith. In this role he is responsible for the Mapalyze analytics features which will allow for data driven solutions to customer questions. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and earned his Ph. D. in Physics from Cornell University. After earning his Ph.D. he was a postdoc working on some of the world’s largest particle accelerators and detectors. Thereafter he has worked in data analytics in various fields: from quantitative trading in automated high frequency markets, to traffic and mapping, to business logistics problems and consulting for the Navy. For over 20 years he has used data to solve challenging and novel problems, and continues to do so with his work at CityZenith.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, running, reading, gaming and the latest comics.

Senior Unity Developer

Daniel is the Senior Unity Developer for Cityzenith. He is one of the developers responsible in the creation of the new version of the Smart World application using a new Technology in the Unity Engine. Her received his Bachelor’s degree in Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia in Electronic Engineering and started working as a Software and Systems Developer while making game prototypes as a hobby.

His passion for game development landed his first gig for a small indie developer studio and was introduced to the Unity engine in 2009 and has worked with the engine making both games, tools and 3D applications since then. For over 10 years he has used a unique approach while implementing best practices for software and game development and continues to do that for the new platform for SmartWorld at Cityzenith.

He loves videogames as well as fantasy or sci-fi books. He also work on indie games for himself in his spare time.

Brian Jared
Senior 3D Software Developer

Brian comes from a diverse background. He has been a web programmer, Unix administrator, network administrator, has programmed social games, casino games, mobile games and even virtual reality applications. While he has taken a few early detours in his career, his passion has always been to create incredible interactive graphical experiences.

At Cityzenith, he is helping shape the interactive aspects of the next version of 5D Smart World, making it an even better tool than it is today. With his multi-faceted skill set, he understands the many technologies that are required for a product of this scale.

Brian has a simple philosophy of life: Do what's right, and make things that people enjoy, or find helpful. He believes the ability to directly and indirectly change so many lives with Cityzenith's 5D Smart World is very exciting, and worth doing right.

He thrives on challenging himself, and whether it's in his career or in his personal life, he is always stepping outside of his comfort zone, trying to learn new things. As an adult, he began piano lessons and studied for 5 years. Now, while he commutes on the train, he practices writing kanji, the Chinese characters used in the Japanese language. Who knows what he'll be into next year!

Oliver Clements
Design Director

Oliver has been working in design for the past 12 years and is primarily responsible for the user experience and user interface of upcoming 5D Smart City releases. With a heavy background in media production, 3D motion graphics and user interface design – with past clients including Hyundai, Naxos, EMI, nVidia and VMWare – Oliver also works on Cityzenith's print, video and web media projects.

Based in London, UK, Oliver also has a keen interest in audio engineering and music production.

Jon is the Visualization Engine Development Technical Consultant at Cityzenith. Previously of Oculus VR, Jon has led multiple companies in officer and other roles to success and profitability. As a founding member of the Gear VR team, Jon has extensive experience developing software for Virtual Reality as well as general systems engineering on everything from mobile phones to the highest of high end computers. Jon has developed GPU accelerated raytracing engines for real-time applications as well as lead/developed game engines for many high profile companies such as id Software and Naughty Dog.

Deep is the Chief People Officer at Cityzenith He has worked, lived and studied in Australia, UK, US, UAE, Singapore, Sri lanka and India. Deep is an alumni of Columbia University – Columbia business school, NY, and MacArthur University in Sydney, Australia.

Deep comes with a rich corporate and business experience of over 25 years.

In his avatar as an executive and global leadership coach, Deep has strengthened the capability of C-suite executives in organizations like – Citi Corp, Vodafone, IBM, Publicis Sapient, Nokia Siemens, Global logic, Jones Lang Lasalle, PWC, Tata consultancy, HCL, L&T and others.

As a venture curator Deep has enabled the top leadership of several small and medium sized businesses to lay a ‘Tetrahedron’ like foundation for the quest towards the ‘Vision’ of their organizations.

Lisa is a native Bosnian who grew up in Holland where she attended college prior to moving to New York City. She joined Cityzenith in March 2016 after having spent most of her career life in the healthcare industry. Lisa brings extensive knowledge of executive support, business development and project management. In her time off she likes to cook, do yoga and travel in the Midwest. Lisa is based in our headquarters in Chicago.

Joe is a recognized subject matter expert in the Smart City arena. A professional hybrid; at home in both the public and private sector, he has a background in the Public Sector, ICT, SME linkage, economic development, education and digital enablement in the UK, Europe, and has lived in both the Far and Middle East.

Bailey is Cityzenith's Chicago-based Graphic Designer. She has a background primarily in Graphic, Visual, and User Interface Design. She received her B.A. Degree at Depaul University, dual majoring in Graphic Design and Art, Media, and Design. Bailey's other interests include ballet, yoga, and traveling on her spare time.
